#1: Adrian's Personal Design Process
Adrian tells us his thoughts and personal experience as a designer. You are responsible to create this emblem of what they want to convey, and listening is a huge step towards making their idea manifest.
The path of a designer, even if you are not one, is one to be mindful of when choosing a designer as much as it is when choosing to become a designer. Adrian gives us some insight into where he is in this spectrum of versatile and style-specific designing.
“Good work comes from people who are happy doing what they do.”
#2: Client & Expectation Management
Adrian gives us a rundown on how he gives options to his clients and includes them in the design decisions, such as colors and alignment. He even shares his “Frankenstein” Method where clients can be held by the hand in figuring out what they really want in their logos. He also gives clients insight on how proactive they need to be to get the most of their designers for a speedy result.
#3: Design Trends for 2020
Ross and Adrian discuss how the platforms in which these logos are being presented are definitely influencing the trends. Thin, simplistic outlines in circles to subtle gradients and even 80’s – 90’s 8-bit styles
Some trends Adrian is into include:
- The Imperfect Logo: an organic, raw, handmade aesthetic
- Vintage Stamp: A shape with all elements within which is very presentable on social media
- Animated Logos: custom frame by frame logo animation (not plugin-after effects animation)

I studied thousands of logos. Here’s where branding is headed next– “You can’t tell where something is going if you don’t know where it has been. There’s always a reason something goes viral or takes off—something set it in motion, good or bad. So let’s start by addressing the white elephant on the planet: COVID-19.”
The Impact Of Color On Culture, Behavior, + Marketing – “In this episode, Ross interviews artist, educator, designer, and color enthusiast Luanne Stovall. They explore the topic of color as it impacts culture, behavior, design, and Marketing.”
